Covid-19: Uganda cases rise to 679 as 14 mores test positive

Ministry of Health on Thursday announced 14 new COVID-19 cases, bringing its total number of confirmed cases to 679. Whisper Eye Reports

Whisper Eye has learnt that 3 new cases are Truck drivers who arrived via Elegu, 2 via Mutukula, 1 case arrived from Lamwo and 8 cases are contacts and alerts from Kampala, Amuru ,Dokolo and Moyo district.

The country health ministry, in its daily update this morning of thursday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

All contact positive cases are under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.

Uganda now has 679 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 30 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 120 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
